Hi, I'm researching the McAdam family for my husband's aunt, Joan McAdam (nee Thompson). She has a family tree prepared by James Leslie McAdam that shows a branch of the family in South Africa descended from Robert McAdam and Sarah Gordon. Comparing that tree to the names of people in your blog, it seems to be the same family. Joan was marries to Neville McAdam, a great grandson of John McAdam and Catherine Strong (their son James moved from Ireland to Newcastle and married Alice Wright; one of their sons, Robert, was Neville's father). We're researching the family tree for Joan and Neville's grandchildren.
